Thinking of becoming a motorcycle instructor?
Becoming an instructor is an appealing prospect to many bikers, however it isn't for everyone. Rather than booking a course and finding out halfway through that it's not what you had in mind, why not book just a day or two?
Feel free to call us for a chat with no commitment.
CBT Instructor Course
This 6 day course is designed to prepare you for the Driving Standards Agency (DSA) 2 day assessment which is run at Cardington, Bedfordshire.
When you pass the assessment you will be issued with your DSA Certified Motorcycle Instructor certificate CBT which qualifies you to teach any courses up to and including 125cc motorcycles (CBT and A2), supervise and "Down Train" other instructors, and/or run your own motorcycle training school (Approved Training Body)
We will teach you how to be an effective instructor, and give you the background knowledge you need. We will not just sit you in a class room and teach you a script!
You will get first hand experience at instructing a 'student' (one of our instructors) and supervising another instructor (one of us or another trainee instructor)
If you wish to come a day or two early and observe real CBT’s, feel free – no charge! As long as you are booked on one of our courses, we will be happy to show you a "live" CBT so you will see how the course progresess with novice riders.
